First Day in Tokyo

After a long day of traveling, we have finally arrived in Tokyo and have settled into our hotel near what the students said was the Times Square of Japan.  After getting settled in the hotel, it was off to dinner at a restaurant about a 10 minute walk from the hotel.  The students tried a pork dish, salmon, and chicken along with miso, salad and rice.  Also, several of the students were picked to bang the drum at the restaurant.  It seems that restaurants here have different things that make them special or stand out and this place is known for its drum and singing.

Sorry this is such a quick note tonight, but tomorrow is going to be a big day and after being up for nearly 2 days, we are all in need of a good nights sleep.

Bon Voyage Party

A big thank you to Brant and his family for opening their home up to our delegation for our Bon Voyage party.

What a great opportunity for the Denton and Plano groups to get together and mingle for the first time and meet our new delegate Izzy!!

What a great combined group we have!  Only 2 more weeks and we will be on our way to Tokyo to begin the journey of a lifetime.

Also a big shout out to Elyasabeth's uncle for making all our wonderful delegation t-shirts.  They look fabulous!!!
